POTENTIAL SOLUTION AREAS

1. AGRICULTURE, AQUACULTURE & MANUFACTURING

On top of feeding the continent’s 1.3 billion people, the agricultural value chain is the largest employer in Africa with aquaculture rising as a critical complementary nutrition and employment. To advance all value chains and protect trade in Africa, manufacturing must also advance. In the context of Africa’s historical nutritional insecurity, there is a great need to revisit production processes and supply logistics in order t o turn Africa into a self-sufficient breadbasket for its peoples. Sera Afrika’s interest in African agriculture and aquaculture lies in guiding the development and adoption of better practices to improve the productive and distributive efficiency of the continent’s nutritional value chai n. We target not just improved nutritional security but an increased sophistication and value in these sectors, creating more tax revenue and employment across Africa’s states.

Development of Africa’s blue, green and build economies is inevitable as these emerging sectors increase in sophistication and revenue potential. Susta inable financing entails directing investment towards BGB initiatives that incorporate sustainability elements and preserve the natural capital that support these economies. This includes adv ising investors and beneficiaries on sustainable approaches pertinent to their direct interests, initiating and administering sustainable projects, and creating partnerships and networks that coordinate and pre-package sustainable development initiatives for investment.
